Problem Framing Cards
In January 2025, I attended the Design Leadership Summit in Toronto, where I had a chance to connect with other design leaders from across US and Canada. One of the talks that resonated was from Ricardo Vazquez, where he shared examples of how to bridge the gap between quality and performance in product development.
During his talk, he shared the concept of Problem Framing Cards, which are meant to align product, design, and engineering teams around how performance metrics contribute to great user experiences.
I loved this concept and I decided to bring it to our design teams at AutoSync / AutoScout24.
Here’s an internal pitch deck I created, explaining the business case for measuring quality, and how these artifacts can help designers link design to results, built trust with our peers, and influence roadmap decisions.


















Next, my team put these in practice during a product planning onsite, and we received unanimous support for excitement for using these artifacts to share our ideas and build alignment.
